Cloudlog Aurora in less than 5 minutes
Cloudlog Aurora is a desktop application that allows you to log QSOs or Radio data to Cloudlog using a variety of methods. These include via a TCP Server, WSJT-X UDP Protocol, SatPC32 DDE, Winkeyer support, TCL Protocol Radios, and Hamlib for rig control to name a few.
The main application screen gives you a quick overview of the current status of the application showing a selection of most relevant details we believe to be useful to users.
Requirements
- Microsoft Windows 7 or later
- Microsoft .NET 9.0 Desktop Runtime
- Cloudlog 2.4.1 or later
Installation
Step 1: Download Cloudlog Aurora
Download the latest version of Cloudlog Aurora - Download Latest.
The download is a ZIP file containing the application files. There is no installer - you simply extract and run the executable.
Step 2: Extract the Files
- Create the installation directory: - Open File Explorer
- Navigate to C:\drive
- Create a new folder called Ham Radio(if it doesn't exist)
- Inside Ham Radio, create a folder calledCloudlog Aurora
- Final path should be: C:\Ham Radio\Cloudlog Aurora\
 
- Extract the ZIP file: - Right-click the downloaded ZIP file
- Select "Extract All..."
- Browse to C:\Ham Radio\Cloudlog Aurora\
- Click "Extract"
 
Step 3: Create Desktop Shortcut (Optional)
- Navigate to the installation folder: - Open C:\Ham Radio\Cloudlog Aurora\
- Look for Cloudlog Aurora.exe
 
- Open 
- Create desktop shortcut: - Right-click on Cloudlog Aurora.exe
- Select "Send to" → "Desktop (create shortcut)"
- A shortcut will appear on your desktop
 
- Right-click on 
- Alternative method: - Right-click on Cloudlog Aurora.exe
- Select "Create shortcut"
- Drag the shortcut to your desktop
 
- Right-click on 
Step 4: First Launch
- Run Cloudlog Aurora: - Double-click the desktop shortcut, or
- Navigate to C:\Ham Radio\Cloudlog Aurora\and double-clickCloudlog Aurora.exe
 
- Configure the application: - Go to File → Settings to configure your Cloudlog connection
- See the Settings section for detailed configuration instructions
 
- Start logging: - Once configured, you can start logging QSOs or sending radio data to Cloudlog
 
While C:\Ham Radio\Cloudlog Aurora\ is the recommended location, you can install Cloudlog Aurora anywhere on your system. Just make sure to extract it to a permanent location (not your Downloads folder) and create shortcuts accordingly.
